A key aim of the Further Mathematics Network is to enrich students’ experience of mathematics wherever possible. There is particular focus on students at Key Stages 3 and 4 as well as at sixth-form level. Formats used to provide such enrichment include:

• A level Mathematics & Further Mathematics and University Mathematics Taster Sessions
• Student Conferences
• Residential Courses
• Video Conferencing

Senior Team Mathematics Challenge

A national team mathematics competition for students in years 11-13.

An afternoon promoting the benefits and fun of taking Further Mathematics at AS and A2.

Mathematics Masterclasses
Three Maths Masterclasses aimed primarily at Years 11-3: Numbers and Codes (Friday 12h December 2008), Maths in Biology (Friday 20th March 2009), and Complex Numbers (Friday 26th June 2009). Each masterclass lasts from 2.00 - 5.00pm.
